Lanzarote Yacht Charter

The gem of the Canary Islands, Lanzarote is unlike any other place in the world. A geographical wonder with over 300 volcanic cones, Lanzarote is unworldly. The landscape of the island can be described in one word – striking. With beaches, volcanoes and mountains, this outlandish terrain will feel like you are on another planet. In the center of the island is a cratered landscape covered with mountains and plains, cones and rock formations. With limited construction and an overall style of minimalism, this island keeps it simple, fresh and eco-friendly.

For those who enjoy the outdoors and water sports, this island’s strong winds and temperate waters make the perfect ambience. Often referred to as the Hawaii of Europe, Lanzarote is a top surfing location. For the adventurous souls, you will find endless locations to indulge in kitesurfing, snorkelling, diving, windsurfing and sailing.

The Papagayo beaches of the south are a series of perfectly sandy beaches with pristine waters that are not so easily accessible to those on shore. Feeling as if you have your own private beach, you can relax in comfort and dig your toes into the fine sand beaches.

The Southern tip of the islands offer the famous quaint black sand beaches, and ode to the islands active volcanic past. The famous El Golfo, an unusual cove in the southwest, is a mixture of pristine blue atlantic waters, emerald coves, bright splashes of auburn rocks and secluded volcanic beaches, with the famous black sands. Take a trip inland and you will discover a quaint small fishing village renowned for its fresh seafood restaurants. The marvelous views of Mirador del Rio, offers uninterrupted views of the lusher part of the island. Just north, the colorful moon-like Lava terrain of “Timanfaya National Park” provide a spectacular contrast to the glittering deep blue Atlantic. Close by is the Valley of 1,000 Palms, where you can breathe in the fresh air in the lush green valleys that lead you up to the spectacular cliffs of Famara.

The northern tip of the island is defined by it’s more homey feel. Mingle with locals at the Haria market on a Saturday morning, where you can find delightful handcrafts and even sample the local wine of Los Bermejos. Not to be missed, you will find the Chinijo archipelago, Europe’s largest marine protected area. Just off the coast, is the smallest island, La Graciosa, where you can sail over for a quick day trip. Populated with just 600 inhabitants and a declared marine reserve, you can be sure to discover its untouched natural beauty. A truly unique landscape with endless charter areas, Lanzarote is a dream for those looking to relax amongst unearthly landscapes or those looking for a bit more adventure.
