Are you planning your holiday in the Balearic Islands for the end of summer, and you thought the charter season ended in August? Think again.
For many of us, August is the quintessential summer month, and we tend to choose it to enjoy our holidays. However, travelling in September is also a great way to say goodbye to summer and enjoy a fantastic yachting holiday:
Fewer people
In September there are not as many tourists as in previous months and you can enjoy a quieter island. It is an excellent time to visit the busiest beaches in summer, such as Espalmador or Illetas, in Formentera.
Excellent weather
Temperatures are very pleasant, averaging 24 degrees during the day, and the sea is warm, with an average temperature of 25 degrees.
More yachts available at low season rates
There are more yachts available than during the high season so you will be able to choose the yacht that suits you and what you are looking for. In addition, most superyachts have special rates from September onwards.
More moorings and anchorages available
It is easier to find a mooring or anchorage available than in high season.
Perfect sailing conditions
In September the island has optimal conditions for sailing along its coasts. This is due to the absence of wind and waves… Ideal for water activities and water sports such as snorkelling, paddle surfing, Seabob, etc.
Uncrowded restaurants
Restaurants are no longer as crowded as in high season and it is not necessary to book in advance. We can be more flexible and improvise.
So why not take advantage of September to spend an unforgettable holiday on board a yacht in Ibiza, Menorca or Mallorca, and recharge your batteries before returning to the routine? Make the most of this year and extend the summer as long as you can!
