SILONONA is a stunning replica of the famous Indonesian trading vessels known as ‘Phinisi.’ This powerful handcrafted traditional wooden sailing yacht was built in 2004 using the finest tropical hardwoods, following German Lloyds specifications. Crafted by the expert Master Konjo boat builders of Sulawesi, SILONONA combines the timeless elegance of traditional spice island vessels with modern amenities and safety features. May to September : Komodo National Park based. Sailing in the following areas: Komodo National Park, Flores, Savu Sea. Departure port: Labuhan Bajo (Western Flores) Domestic flight: needed departing from Bali. October to April : West Papua based. Sailing in the following areas: Mollucas, Raja Ampat and Cendrawasih Bay. Departure ports: Banda and the Spice Islands – Ambon Raja Ampat – Sorong, West Papua Cendrawasih Bay – Biak, North Papua Domestic flight: needed departing from Bali or, Jakarta.
